David Peat; literature that includes the Bible, Dante, Homer, Isabelle Allende, and Flannery O’Connor; and great art, including Leonardo, Poussin, and Cézanne. One of the essential discoveries of these people of genius was their openness to the infinite. David Bohm, for example, recognized that every cell, every fragment of life embodies the totality of life—the whole.

John’s writings, particularly Origin of My Birthplace, are designed to bring us face-to-face with the infinite so that we know the mystery of the infinite for ourselves.
